american nightmares?

[estimated reading time 15 minutes]

according to this and using the trump regime’s definitions of each of these points, i score 10/10.

(nspm-7 details from ken klippenstein’s blog)

i certainly hope everyone who follows me also does.

let’s explore each of them.

(1) “anti-americanism”

what the trump regime means by being anti-american is nothing to do with hating american people but hating american exceptionalism. the idea that america is special or different or unique.

looking at american history, it is clear that it was little more than a failed revolutionary state before the twentieth century and was elevated to the status of a superpower by virtue of only one quirk of fate. it was the only country left standing at the end of two brutal world wars where every other manufacturing nation was destroyed. yes, canada was still alive and well but with a tiny population and no infrastructure to build on.

europe’s industrial powers – france, germany and the united kingdom – were either physically destroyed or at least had their populations, infrastructures and abilities to produce anything eliminated for the foreseeable future. the ussr lost so much of its population and stability, it was decades before it could compete on any level and its corrupt government made that unrealistic at best. china was crushed by japanese imperialism and japan was occupied by the americans. there never were significant industrial powers in south asia, africa or south america. america really was on its own for decades.

of course it became one of the dominant forces in the world but it had nothing to do with america being better – or even good – at anything. it had to do with america having a living population, plenty of space and time to dominate a global market nobody else was competing in.

americans are no different from anyone else in any meaningful way and american exceptionalism is a nationalist plague.

we have to remember america was wholly built on the back of slavery. without black labor at no cost, there would have been no american manufacturing or agricultural production. there would have been no western expansion because there would have been nothing to support it. there would have been no american military force of any significance because there simply would have been no money and no successful population to build it.

american exceptionalism is just historical revisionism. america was built on the back of enslaved africans, not the work ethic of white european colonialists.

that doesn’t mean by any stretch that modern americans are responsible for the actions of their ancestors but it does mean it is everyone’s responsibility to educate themself about the reality of the claim of what made america “great”, to use the regime’s term or, to be more accurate about it, rich and powerful as a nation.

of course i am anti-american.

(2) “anti-capitalism”

capitalism is simply the idea that those who own the capital control the flow of money. put another way, the employers make the profit and the workers get only as little as possible, just enough to make sure they continue to work.

it is, by definition, the exploitation of everyone except the already rich and powerful.

it also implies and requires that everything have a cost, including survival.

capitalism (though not only capitalism) necessitates food, clothing, housing, transportation and even basic government services like identification and licensing cost money, which means work is necessary to receive that money that is then given to the government or the financial or governmental elite. in other words, unless you want to die, you have to work. you have to sell your body (or at least rent your body) for the privilege of continuing to have that body at all.

of course i am anti-capitalism.

(3) “anti-christianity”

christianity is a religion.

religion is socially-acceptable organized delusion. delusion may stem from mental illness but, in the case of religion, it comes from societal pressure – brainwashing, in other words. it (all religion, though christianity is an extreme case) teaches people to “believe” things that are not true, simply because they are comforting. if you have a question you can’t answer, instead of admitting lack of knowledge, make something up and present it as unquestionable fact.

where did we come from? supernatural forces. what happens after we die? supernatural afterlives.

of course, it is all nonsense but centuries of tradition and repetition have made people believe these ideas are true. this insistence on nonsense alternate realities being given social acceptance has set education and progress back hundreds if not thousands of years.

as a result, of course i am anti-christianity.

(4) “support for the overthrow of the united states government”

the united states government is currently a nascent fascist movement. i teach history and, beyond that, i am an academic expert in propaganda and disinformation. that means i have spent far more than my share of time studying movements like the nazi takeover of germany and the soviet union in all its propaganda glory.

there is no doubt in my mind that trump and his regime are following the same playbook as the national socialist movement in germany. ultranationalism leading to right-wing authoritarianism, consolidation of control, state ownership of production, military expansion and the elimination of all progressive forces, dismantling of education and science, eugenics.

on top of the fact that this government in particular is fascist in nature, the american government has always been built on racism and supports a system of vast corruption and wealth-inequality. it ignores experts in favor of what is popular.

as such, american democracy, as with any democracy, is a doomed experiment at best because it puts the “will of the people” – in other words, the selfish desires of the mob majority – ahead of what is good, right or true.

of course i support the overthrow of the united states government and its replacement with a group of expert committees of academics, scientists, doctors and other subject experts (epidemiologists and virologists, for example).

(5) “extremism on migration”

by extremism on migration, the trump regime means allowing free immigration.

america is a country of immigrants. more than 97% of the american population is descended from immigrants who arrived in the fifteenth century or later.

of course, as humanity did not evolve in the americas, the other 3% also immigrated but they have been in america millennia longer so they are legitimately the indigenous population of the land.

but the other 97% are all immigrants. it is absurd to think that it is acceptable to climb the ladder into the united states then slam the door and kick down.

there is a massive population in the world that wants to immigrate to america, of course, and america can’t possibly sustain that entire population. but the answer to this is not to close the borders but to bring the regions those people currently live in up to at least the standards of the united states.

it is certainly valid to disallow certain individuals from immigrating – terrorists, violent criminals, etc – but that is an incredibly tiny fraction of those attempting to enter the country. certainly not even a single percent on any day.

if the borders were open, only the worst criminals would try to enter the united states without crossing at a valid checkpoint. the only reason so many cross the rio grande or in makeshift boats across open ocean is because they would be turned away at the borders.

america needs to export wealth, stability and modernity to the rest of the world. not only america, of course. all successful nations should be doing this and very few even make attempts at it. there are so many failed states, theocracies and anti-progressive countries needing to be upgraded and so few people or countries willing to take that challenge on. america has displayed its unwillingness to truly help in its handling of afghanistan and iraq, to name only two.

of course i am extreme on migration in that there should be completely open borders.

(6) “extremism on race”

by extremism on race, the trump regime means racial/ethnic equality without limitations. in other words, fighting against white-supremacy.

this is not to say that all cultures are valid or equal. they certainly are not. that doesn’t mean european cultures are good, either, i must caution because i know some people will take that to mean that i think non-european cultures are the ones that are not valid or are less than european cultures. no, there is a lot wrong with european cultures – most of those things being rooted in religions, particularly christianity.

what i am getting at here is that the cultures are not good and the traditions are not worth keeping. it is the people that are important.

we must protect the equality of each individual, not of their collective cultures or traditions.

each person, black, white, latinx, jewish, arab, asian, african, etc, must be treated equally.

the idea that everyone truly is equal is why, of course, i am extreme on race.

(7) “extremism on gender”

by extremism on gender, the trump regime means understanding that gender is a human social construct and distinct from biological sex.

biological sex, of course, is not simply “male” or “female”. pretending that is the case would be to devolve into a primary-school understanding of biology. human biology is far more complex than that and human sex can vary wildly.

but gender is far more fluid and flexible than sex. humans have pretended, by and large, for millennia that gender was linked to sex. but it is simply not.

genitals are an outward indicator of sex, though they are often a false flag. even if they were always correctly identifying the biological sex, though, they would certainly not necessitate particular genders for those individuals.

the idea of woman or man are human concepts. no animal has a gender. only humans. and humans only possessed those once they built social norms for themselves.

as such, gender is something we can change, something we can select, something we can vary over time. also something we can simply do without.

in the most aggressive way possible, of course i am extreme on gender and support the trans community with everything in my being.

(8) “hostility towards those who hold traditional american views on family”

by “traditional american views on family”, the trump regime means strict gender roles of male and female, the requirement to have children, a woman who stays at home and is subservient to a man, two adults who are sexually-monogamous and faithful to each other as a married couple. it also includes, for most of the regime, the idea that “racial purity” must be maintained in families with all-white, all-black, all-latino, etc families existing – a typical example of nazi rhetoric.

as i am against the idea of adherence to gender roles, i am certainly against the first.

having children is one of the most incomprehensibly undesirable concepts to me and, i am certain, to most leftists. a child means giving up bodily autonomy, sacrificing your freedom and energy in service of someone else and putting them first. it means giving up on life in every possible way on top of sacrificing your health to create another human inside your body. pregnancy is a disease by definition. those who choose to do it, of course, are welcome to it. but it should never be forced or pressured on anyone. completely unlimited abortion and birth control are an absolute necessity for a modern society. as such, i am absolutely against the second.

being against gender norms already means i am against the third.

the fourth is a bit more complex. i am against marriage and monogamy. they don’t work for humans – or any other animals – in a generalized sense. humans are not biologically programmed to be sexually-monogamous and there is no reason to expect it is a good way to live. relationships break down, most people get bored of sex with one person over a period of months or years. more importantly, expecting to have all your emotional needs met by a single individual is lunacy at best and self-harm in most situations. having fluctuating partners for sex as desired and expecting nothing else from them is far more stable as a way to live for most humans. we are designed to live in community, not in family units, with children taken care of by groups instead of individuals and people supporting each other as friendship groups instead of partnerships.

as such, i am certainly against the idea of the family unit, not just the traditional american family unit.

it goes without saying that i am against the nazi view of racial purity but i feel i should state it clearly once again.

of course i am hostile to those who hold traditional american views on family and support their elimination.

(9) “hostility towards those who hold traditional american views on religion”

i believe i have already made my views on all religion clear so i’ll make this short.

by “traditional american views on religion”, the trump regime means christianity as a state religion.

i am against the idea that religion should ever be accepted or permitted in any modern civilization so the idea of a state religion is beyond absurd.

as such, of course i am hostile to those who hold traditional american views on religion and support their elimination.

(10) “hostility towards those who hold traditional american views on morality”

by “traditional american views on morality”, the trump regime means a christian concept of right and wrong but, given their other writings, specifically about sexuality and gender.

in other words, they are saying it is not just different but criminal to be gay or transgender, to indulge in pornography or extramarital sexuality (not that this seems to have bothered trump at any point in his pedophilic existence) or to use birth control or abortion.

as an asexual, of course, indulging in pornography or sexuality is of no interest to me. but, as someone who understands the difference between something that is wrong and something that i don’t want, it is obvious there is nothing wrong with being sexual as long as those involved enthusiastically consent. i must admit, i don’t quite understand who exactly has a desire to place objects in their rectal cavities but that’s a whole other discussion and i have no problem with people being free to do it, even if engaging with the place where feces travel strikes me as truly unappealing.

there is nothing wrong with being gay or transgender. in fact, in most cases, being gay certainly makes much more sense from both a sexual and an emotional perspective. people of the same gender generally understand the bodies of their partners better and can give more pleasure as well as being able to communicate more effectively on an emotional level – the reason why every study on the subject shows dramatically higher happiness levels in gay couples compared to straight ones.

we have records of transgender individuals as far back as recorded history and they certainly go back much farther. it is not a new concept – it’s certainly older than the invention of writing because it was already present when writing began. homosexuality is visible in every mammal and, in some cases, more prevalent than heterosexuality. it is, by definition, perfectly natural. if you’re in any way doubtful about the natural status of homosexuality, spend an hour in a dog park and you will certainly see plenty of same-sex sexual activity.

as such, of course i am hostile to those who hold traditional american views on morality and support their elimination.
